Paras Mhambre Returns to Mumbai Indians as Bowling Coach
Paras Mhambre, the bowling coach who made the Indian team world champion in the Twenty20 World Cup 2024, has returned home to the Mumbai Indians team. He will serve as the bowling coach in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. He has been a member of the coaching staff of the Mumbai team since 2008. Mhambre will work under Mumbai’s current bowling coach Lasith Malinga and head coach Mahela Jayawardene.

He will also be present at the mega auction later this year. The Mumbai franchise was announced on Wednesday. Paras was the bowling coach of the Indian team that won the Twenty20 World Cup on June 29 this year.

Recent Changes in Coaching Staff
Last month, Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathore joined the Rajasthan Royals team. The franchise announced the inclusion of both Indian coaches on September 20. Under the coaching of Dravid and Rathod, the Indian team won the Twenty20 World Cup. Mhambre has played two Tests and three ODIs for India. He had an excellent first-class career, but not much international success.

New IPL Rules for the Upcoming Auction
What are the new rules of IPL? According to the new rules of IPL, each team can retain 5 international players and 1 uncapped (not yet played in an international team) in the team before the auction. Each team has a maximum limit of Rs 120 crore. Among the retained international players, the first player will have to pay 18 crores, the second player will have to pay 14 crores and the third player will have to pay 11 crores. 18 crores for the fourth player and 14 crores for the fifth player. Also, 4 crores will have to be paid to retain an uncapped Indian player.
