The Pakistan cricket team is all set to land in Hyderabad this Wednesday for the upcoming ODI World Cup taking place in India. Their first match in the main round is scheduled against the Netherlands on October 6, following a warm-up match against New Zealand.
Before their arrival, there was quite a buzz surrounding the team’s journey to India. Pakistani journalists had raised concerns about the delay in visa approvals, accusing India of deliberately holding up the process. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board has now shed light on the situation.
Despite initial doubts and speculations about their participation in India, the PCB confirmed that they have received the necessary visas. The Pakistani team is expected to reach Hyderabad on September 27, just two days after India approved their visa applications. It’s worth noting that Pakistan had applied for the visas on September 19, and India swiftly processed them.
In response to these developments, the Pakistan Cricket Board expressed gratitude to the Indian government for expediting the visa issuance process. They also extended their thanks to Jai Shah, the Secretary. Furthermore, they appealed to journalists to refrain from spreading false information.
