The first dayโs play of the second Test match between India vs Bangladesh is over. Green Park in Kanpur and surrounding areas have been experiencing heavy rain since morning. Coin toss was delayed by almost 1 hour due to rain. As a result, the match started late. Rain interrupted the match. BCCI finally announced the end of the first dayโs play due to rain interruption. The scheduled overs of the day could not be played due to rain. Only 3 5 overs have been played on the first day. Bangladesh have scored 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Test cricket is expected to play 90 overs every day. But only 36 overs could be played in this match. Therefore, 60 percent of the first dayโs play has been lost due to rain.
