Despite a valiant effort from Vidarbha’s skipper Akshay Wadkar, who smashed a resilient century, Mumbai’s bowling attack proved too strong for Vidarbha to overcome. After lunch, Wadkar’s dismissal marked a turning point, as Mumbai’s bowlers relentlessly dismantled Vidarbha’s batting lineup. Ultimately, Vidarbha was bowled out, falling short of the target with their second innings at 368 runs.

Apart from Wadkar’s impressive century, Vidarbha saw notable contributions from Karun Nair (74 runs) and Harsh Dubey (65 runs). Openers Atharva Taide and Dhruv Shourie also made valuable contributions, scoring 32 and 28 runs respectively. However, Vidarbha’s batting lineup failed to withstand Mumbai’s relentless bowling attack, with Tanush Kotian emerging as Mumbai’s leading wicket-taker with four dismissals.
