Since making his debut in February 2022, Bishnoi has claimed 34 wickets in 21 Twenty20 matches. His emergence caught attention during the Under-19 World Cup held in South Africa in 2020, where he topped the wicket charts with 17 wickets, contributing to India’s runner-up finish.
Despite facing competition from Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, and R Ashwin, Bishnoi didn’t have many opportunities. However, he made the most of his chance in the series against Australia, surpassing Afghanistan’s star bowler, Rashid Khan, to claim the top spot.
Adil Rashid and Vanindu Hasaranga share the third position, while Mahish Thikshana has slipped to fifth. India’s Akshar Patel has ascended from 16th to 11th in the rankings.
In the batting rankings, Suryakumar Yadav maintains his position at the top, while Rituraj Gaikwad is ranked seventh. Yashasvi Jaiswal has made a notable improvement, climbing 16 places to the 19th position.
