Ravi Shastri on Kohli: Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri has given a befitting reply to Virat Kohli’s critics. Ravi Shastri supported Virat Kohli and said that he was present on his land to play cricket against his favourite country. Shastri said that the former captain would return to his best form in his favourite hunting ground, Australia.
Fans are unhappy with Virat Kohli, who has struggled with poor form in Test matches for some time. Virat’s bat was silent against New Zealand, and his criticism started after this.
In such a situation, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has defended Virat Kohli. Shastri, in the new episode of ICC Review, referred to Kohli’s popularity and success in Australia and said that he will come back in his form.

Shastri said, Well, the King is back in his kingdom. I will tell him the same. I think it will be very important for him to stay calm when he comes out to bat in the first half hour.
If he can stay calm and play at his own pace rather than rushing, I think he will be fine. And when you look at his performance in Australia, it has been surprising.
It is worth noting that after a consistently poor performance with the bat in India’s 0-3 defeat against New Zealand in October-November, questions are being raised about Virat Kohli’s place in the team. Kohli was able to score only 93 runs in three Tests, in which he got out playing a poor shot against New Zealand spinners.
Kohli has played six Tests in 2024, in which he has scored 250 runs including just one half-century at an average of 22.72.

Virat Kohli’s Strong Record in Australia
At the same time, Virat Kohli has performed very well in Australia. The former captain scored a century in Adelaide in his first Test tour of Australia in 2011-12. He scored four Test centuries in the 2014–15 series, the best by a foreign batsman in Australia.
In 2018, Kohli led India to their first Test series win in Australia. He scored a brilliant 123 in Perth during the series.
