Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja achieved a new milestone during the innings against Bangladesh. Ravindra Jadeja breaking the records of Kapil Dev and R Ashwin. He expressed his desire to give his best in Test cricket as well, not just be labeled as a white-ball specialist.
Jadeja joined the elite club of players who have taken more than 300 wickets and scored over 3000 runs in Test cricket. Speaking after this achievement, Jadeja emphasized that despite being known as a white-ball specialist. He is playing Test cricket for 10 years and is capable of performing well in the longer format too. He called the achievement a special moment for him.
In his post-match interview with the broadcasters, Ravindra Jadeja, “It’s a matter of pride for me to achieve this feat. Today is a special day for me. In my 10-year Test career, I’ve reached this point. When I wear the Indian team’s uniform, I feel a different kind of energy. I started my career with white-ball cricket and always tried to give my best. People see me as a white-ball specialist, but I worked on my game and prepared myself for Test cricket as well. This effort has benefited me in recent years.”
Speaking about his batting, he added,”I try to play every ball according to the situation. I give 100% effort in my batting. The Indian team has batted brilliantly, following the plan we made. In the second innings, we hope to bowl the opposition out soon and take the lead. There are around 98 overs left in the final day’s play, and we’ll aim to wrap up Bangladesh’s innings quickly.
