RCB Secures Victory Against Delhi Capitals at Home
RCB has won against Delhi Capitals on home ground. This is RCB’s 5th consecutive win in the 17th season of IPL.
In the 62nd match of the 17th season of IPL, Delhi Capitals won by 47 runs. RCB gave Delhi a challenge of 188 runs to win. However, in front of RCB bowling, Delhi was out for 140 runs in 19.1 overs. Captain Akshar Patel scored the only struggling half-century for Delhi. But he did not get the expected support from the other side. That’s why Delhi had to lose. At the same time, this is the fifth consecutive win for RCB. With this win, RCB has maintained its challenge in the playoffs. On the other hand, the challenge of Delhi is almost over. Delhi Capitals Fall Short in Chasing RCB’s Total
Akshar Patel scored the maximum 57 runs for Delhi. Jake Fraser McGrook scored 21 runs and Shai Hope scored 29 runs. Rasikh Dar Salaam scored 10 runs. Apart from this, no one could reach double figures. Yash Dayal took a maximum of 3 wickets for RCB. Both were dismissed by Lockie Ferguson. While Swapnil Singh, Cameron Green, and Mohammad Siraj got 1-1 wickets.
RCB Batting Dominance:
Earlier, Delhi Capitals won the toss and forced RCB to bat. Bengaluru scored 187 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Rajat Patidar scored the highest 52 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. With the help of Will Jacques 41, Cameron Green 32*, Virat Kohli 27, and Mahipal Lomrur 13 runs, RCB was successful in scoring 180 overs. The rest of the batsmen could not do anything special. Khalil Ahmed and Rasikh Salam both took 2-2 wickets for Delhi. Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, and Kuldeep Yadav took 1 wicket each.
