RCB-W vs DC-W Final Highlights: The WPL 2026 finale featured a thrilling contest between RCB-W and DC-W. RCB-W reclaimed the trophy for the second time in WPL history. Royal Challengers Bangalore became the 2nd team after the Mumbai Indians to win two editions of WPL.

Delhi Capitals Posted a Massive Total of 203 Runs on the Board

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Delhi Capitals team got off to a strong start, scoring well in the power play, but both openers were dismissed at 72 runs in 7.3 overs.  Following this, captain Jemimah Rodrigues played a brilliant innings of 57 runs off 37 balls, accelerating the scoring rate.

Laura Wolvaardt supported her from the other end. After Jemimah’s dismissal, Chinelle Henry came in to bat and scored 35 runs off 15 balls, taking Delhi Capitals past the 200-run mark.

This was the highest score ever recorded in a WPL final; no other final had seen 200+ total in the first inning.

Smriti Mandhana’s 87 and Georgia Voll’s 79 power RCB-W to a dramatic final-over win

In the second innings, Royal Challengers Bangalore had a poor start. Grace Harris, the team’s in-form player, was dismissed for just 9 runs. However, Georgia Voll and captain Smriti Mandhana steadied the innings, forming a 163-run partnership for the second wicket, the largest partnership in WPL history.

Georgia Wareham went to the pavilion after scoring 79 runs off 54 balls, while Smriti Mandhana scored 87 runs off 41 balls.

In the final over, Royal Challengers Bangalore needed 10 runs. Radha Yadav hit two consecutive fours, securing the victory for Royal Challengers Bangalore with two balls to spare.
