Melbourne Renegades Win a Thriller Against Perth Scorchers
With just 2 balls to spare, the Melbourne Renegades team secured the win. Importantly, four Melbourne batsmen were bowled in just 10 runs. Their captain Will Sutherland and Thomas Stewart Rogers lifted the game in difficult times. Melbourne won on the strength of their batting. Will Sutherland scored 70 off 45 balls and Rogers scored an unbeaten 49 off 31 balls.

Melbourne Renegades needed 12 runs from the last over to win. This match could have been won by the Perth team. But a no-ball ruined the whole game. Tom Rogers is out on the first ball of the last over. But that ball was given as a no-ball. He got life. Rogers then hit a six and a boundary to lead the team to a comfortable victory.
Before that, Rogers took 2 wickets while bowling. So he got the Player of the Match award. Will Sutherland hit 70 without Rodgers? He also took 2 wickets. Both these players gave an all-round performance in the match. Adam Zampa’s role in Melbourne’s victory is also important. This leg spinner took 3 wickets with 27 runs.
Perth Scorchers Struggle Despite Agar’s Fifty
