Rishabh Pant Likely to Return for India in 4th Test vs England

Rishabh Pant in 4th Test: Team India faces a big challenge in the fourth Test match against England, which will be played in Manchester. India must win this match to level the five-match Test series 2-2. However, injuries to key players have increased the tension in the Indian camp. One of the fast bowlers is injured, and young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the series due to an injury.
In the middle of these injury concerns, some good news has come for the Indian team. There are strong chances that wicketkeeper-batsman and vice-captain Rishabh Pant will be available for the fourth Test. Not only is he expected to bat, but he may also return to his regular wicketkeeping duties.
Rishabh Pant Resumes Wicketkeeping Practice Ahead of 4th Test:
Rishabh Pant got injured on the first day of the third Test at Lord’s. Due to the injury, he couldn’t keep wickets, and Dhruv Jurel replaced him as the wicketkeeper for the rest of the match. Pant, however, batted in both innings and even scored a half-century in the first innings. But in the second innings, his injury limited his time on the field.
After this, there were doubts about whether Pant would be fit for the Manchester Test. Many believed that he might play only as a batsman. But just before the fourth Test, fans received a big boost. Pant was seen practising wicketkeeping at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.
This was the first time Pant was seen wearing wicketkeeping gloves since his injury. Reports say his index finger is still bandaged, but the fact that he trained behind the stumps is a positive sign for India.
Big Relief for Team India and Fans
If Pant plays as both a batsman and wicketkeeper, it will solve a big problem for India. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Shubman Gill will be relieved if Pant is fully fit. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the official decision on Pant’s inclusion in the playing XI for the fourth Test.
