Rishabh Pant May Enter IPL 2025 Auction Amid Rift with Delhi Daredevils

Rishabh Pant may enter the auction pool ahead of the IPL 2025 tournament.

Pant who is currently the captain of the Delhi Daredevils and has led the team for several seasons, is unhappy with the management of Delhi Daredevils, due to which he could take part in the mega auction.

Rishabh Pant could be a top target for teams like RCB and CSK in the upcoming mega auction.

Delhi Daredevils has recently removed the head coach of the team Ricky Ponting and also removed Sourav Ganguly from the post of director of the team, due to which Pant is arguing with the team management. Pant and Ponting are known to share a close relationship.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is very interested in acquiring Pant. Royal Challengers Bangalore wants to release their captain Faf du Plessis and after the retirement of wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant can do both these things for Royal Challengers Bangalore. 

RCB is looking for a long-term captain and batsman, and Pant appears to be the ideal choice. Along with Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings are also eyeing Pant. 

After Mahendra Singh Dhoni stepped down from captaincy, Rituraj Gaikwad is leading the team. However, the team has not been able to perform well under his leadership, due to which Chennai Super Kings also consider Rishabh Pant as the best option as captain.

Rishabh Pant has recently made a significant jump in the Test rankings. In the first Test match, he was dismissed after scoring 99 runs. Although there was an injury incident during the match, it is not considered to be very serious.

If Rishabh Pant enters the mega auction, he is expected to attract a significant bid. That is why the news of him entering the auction is coming on social media.
