Ruturaj Gaikwad Likely to Be Selected for Australia Tour
Ruturaj Gaikwad was not selected for the Test series and T20 series against Bangladesh. Now there is a possibility that he will get a chance in Team India. He can be selected in the team for the tour of Australia. According to media reports, Gaikwad will go to Australia as the third opener. Gaikwad is currently playing in the Irani Trophy. He is the captain of the Rest of India. According to a TOI report, Gaikwad will be included as an opener in the tour of Australia. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma will be the regular openers in the playing eleven.
Ruturaj Gaikwad can also get this responsibility if required. If a player gets injured or his form deteriorates, Gaikwad may get a chance. Team India will tour Australia in the month of December. There will be a series of five Test matches in this series. If Ruturaj Gaikwad is selected for the Australia tour, head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit Sharma are behind it.
