Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson’s fiery batting was seen on Friday in the T20 series going on against South Africa in Durban. He scored 107 runs in 50 balls. Due to his excellent batting, the Indian team won the first match of the T20 series by 61 runs.

The Indian team batted first and scored 202 runs. The host team kept losing its wickets at regular intervals and was reduced to 161 runs. India won this match by 61 runs.

Samson’s century comes on the heels of his hundred in last month’s T20 match against Bangladesh. Now he started the innings with a bang against South Africa. He hit 7 fours and 10 sixes during his innings.

Sanju Samson Shines with Explosive Century in First T20 Against South Africa:

Sanju Samson achieved a new feat by breaking Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record. He became the seventh fastest Indian batsman to complete 7000 runs in T20. MS Dhoni achieved this feat in 305 innings. Leaving him behind, Samson achieved this feat in just 269 innings. KL Rahul is at the top of this list. He completed this record in just 197 innings.

Sanju Samson, who made his T20 debut in 2015, got emotional after the match. It took him a long time almost 10 years to make his place in the T20 team.

After his brilliant performance, he said,

“I want to enjoy this moment. Thinking too much about this will make me emotional. I want to keep my feet on the ground.”

The second T20 match of this series is to be held on Sunday. It is hoped that Sanju Samson will maintain his rhythm. India will want to win this series at any cost.
