India posted a massive total of 297 on the board with the help of his brilliant 111-run inning. 297 runs in the 1st inning is now the second-highest score in T20 history. Sanju Samson is being frequently criticized for underperforming, and not living up to expectations despite getting several opportunities. Now Samson delivered his best career performance against Bangladesh and gave an answer to all his haters and critics.

The 29-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has now made a strong claim for his spot in the T20 team with this incredible knock. Samson played this inning under pressure, when India lost a wicket at a score of 23 runs. He broke Ishan Kishan’s previous record of 89 runs, set in February 2022 against Sri Lanka. Samson now holds the record for the highest score by a wicketkeeper-batsman in T20 cricket.

Samson’s century also makes him the 11th Indian player to score a T20 century, joining the ranks of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, KL Rahul, and Shubman Gill. Additionally, he becomes one of the few Indian players to have scored centuries in both T20 and ODI formats.
