Sanju Samson's Unwanted T20I Record: Most Ducks by an Indian Wicketkeeper in 2024

Sanju Samson’s Unwanted T20I Record: South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss and decided to bowl in the third T20 match against India. India scored 219 runs for six wickets after being sent to bat first.

In response, South Africa’s hopes seemed almost over after the dismissal of Heinrich Klaasen (41) when it had to score 53 runs in 14 balls. Marco Jansen, however, came with aggressive intentions and with the help of five sixes and four fours in 17 balls, he tried to bring the host team back into the match.

Arshdeep Singh dismissed Jansen LBW with three balls remaining, giving India an unbeatable 2-1 lead in the four-match series. Unwanted T20I world record registered in the name of Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson’s Unwanted T20I World Record

Sanju Samson, who scored a century in the T20 match against Bangladesh, also set a record in the first T20 match against South Africa by scoring 107 runs in 50 balls with a strike rate of 214, but after that, Sanju did not know who cast an evil eye. This is because Sanju was clean bowled twice in a row for zero in the second and third T20 matches after that and Marco Jansen was bowling in front of him both times.

Sanju Samson has now been out for zero five times in 2024. He is only the second batsman as an ICC full member to be out for zero five times in a calendar year after Zimbabwe’s Regis Chakabva in the year 2022. Samson is also the first player in history to be out for zero twice in a row after scoring two consecutive centuries in T20Is.

After getting out on zero in the last two consecutive matches, Sanju Samson has registered an unwanted record as a wicketkeeper-batsman, Sanju has come on top in terms of getting out on zero the most number of times by an Indian wicketkeeper-batsman in T20.
