Khalid Ahmed missed an easy chance to dismiss him at the start of his innings, and Kohli was also nearly out due to a mistake by Rishabh Pant. After this, Kohli adopted an aggressive strategy to push the team’s score forward. Following quick dismissals of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant, Kohli formed a crucial 87-run partnership in just 59 balls with KL Rahul.
Aggressive Approach from Indian Batsmen

Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his talent with an aggressive knock of 72 runs, including 12 fours and two sixes in 51 balls, setting a new record in the Test.
Rishabh Pant couldn’t make a significant contribution this time, but the other players maintained a strong run rate. After Kohli’s dismissal, India’s wickets fell regularly as the lower middle order and tailenders lost their wickets while trying to score quickly. KL Rahul also looked in great form, hitting seven fours and two sixes, and scoring 68 runs off 43 balls. India declared their innings at 285-9, gaining a first-innings lead of 52 runs.
