Shreyanka Patil Misses WPL 2025: Shreyanka Patil was the best bowler for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2024 Womenβs Premier League. The spinner took 13 wickets and won the Purple Cap and Emerging Player of the Season award, which also made her place in the Indian womenβs team important. However, the 22-year-old is going through a tough time due to injury and could not play the first match of WPL 2025.
RCB Star Shreyanka Patil Misses WPL 2025, Sneh Rana Joins Squad
RCB faced Gujarat Giants in the opening match of the WPL 2025 season at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on February 14. Shreyanka, who was suffering from a shin injury, could not recover in time and was not included in the playing XI against GG. Due to injury, Karnataka spinner Sneh Rana has now been ruled out of the tournament and the team has also selected all-rounder Sneh Rana in her place.
RCB entered the current season without Kate Cross and Sophie Devine. Asha Shobhana and Sophie Molyneux were also injured. Shreyanka joins the growing list of injuries to the defending champions and it will be interesting to see how the franchise will cope with the sudden changes caused by losing key players early in the tournament.

Talking about Rana, she has played 12 matches for GG so far and has even captained the team twice when Beth Mooney was injured. She was not sold in the WPL 2025 auction but luckily RCB has given her a place in the squad for the current edition. Rana had earlier this week travelled to Vadodara as part of the pre-season camp with RCB.
