Shubman Gill’s Century Shines at Chepauk
India’s young batsman Shubman Gill has batted brilliantly at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium and scored a century against Bangladesh. Gill completed his century in the second session on Saturday, the third day. This is the fifth century of this right-handed batsman.
Shubman Gill, who returned to the pavilion without opening the account in the first innings, played a sensible innings in the second innings. After the departure of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Gill took the responsibility and along with Rishabh Pant, brought the team to a strong position. Shubman Gill and Pant’s Crucial Partnership
Pant and Shubman Gill shared a 167-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Pant also scored a century in this inning. Together, the two took Team India’s lead beyond 400. During this, Gill also showed his excellent class batting and hit beautiful shots. He also hit long shots when he got the chance. Gill faced 161 balls. He hit nine fours and three sixes till he completed his century.
