Thrilling Tie in the First ODI
The first ODI match between Sri Lanka vs Team India is tied. Sri Lanka had challenged 231 runs for victory. Chasing this challenge, 47.5 Team India could only score 230 runs all out. So the match is tied. Sri Lankan captain Charith Asalanka turned around what Team India almost won and tied the match. Team India needed just 1 run in 14 balls to win. Charith then dismissed Shivam Dubey on the fourth ball of the 48th over to give India their ninth blow. Then Arshdeep Singh entered the field. Now when Team India needed 1 run in 14 balls, Arshdeep got lbw at the sound of a big hit. In this way, Charith took 2 wickets in 2 consecutive balls to all-out India. So Team India’s innings ended on 230 runs. The match ended in a draw.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of Team India, scored the highest innings of 58 runs. After that, all the other batsmen got off to a good start except Washington Sundar. But none of them could survive till the end and give India an easy victory. On the other side, Sri Lanka managed to draw the lost match by bowling hard. So now both the teams have to win all the next i.e. both the matches to win the series

Meanwhile, except Rohit, Shubman Gill 16, Virat Kohli 24, Washington Sundar 5, Shreyas Iyer 23, KL Rahul 31, Akshar Patel 33, Shivam Dubey 25, Kuldeep Yadav 2 and Mohammad Siraj scored 5 not out. Arshdeep Singh was LBW on the very first ball of his innings and the innings was over for Team India. Captain Charith Asalanka and Wanindu Hasanraga took 3 wickets each for Sri Lanka. Dunith Vellalaghe showed the two the way out of the field. While Asitha Fernando and Akila Dhananjaya both got 1 wicket each.
