Rohit Sharma’s Reaction
When asked about the loss and the performance against spin, Rohit Sharma said, “Spin is not a concern for us. But we need to seriously evaluate our game plan. We were playing under pressure throughout this series.” Regarding the team’s performance post-T20 World Cup, Rohit added, “This is not a joke. You can’t be satisfied when you play for India. Credit to Sri Lanka, they played better than us. We failed to perform consistently, which led to this situation.”
Future Changes and Positives
Despite the series defeat, Rohit Sharma highlighted some positives, mentioning the good performance of the spinners and some middle-order batsmen. He acknowledged the need for improvements, saying, “This defeat is not the end of the world. Our players have been performing well for the past few years, but occasionally, you lose a series.” Rohit Sharma hinted at potential changes in the team, emphasizing the need to prepare better for similar conditions in the future.
