South Africa Announces Squad for Bangladesh Test Series
A 2-match Test series will be played between Bangladesh and South Africa in the month of October-November. South Africa Cricket Board has announced the team for this series. Temba Bavuma will lead South Africa. South Africa will tour Bangladesh for the series.
Balanced Squad with Fast Bowlers and Spinners
South Africa have included 3 spinners in this series. These three include Keshav Maharaj, Dan Peet, and Senuran Muthusamy. The spinner was out of the Test team from March 2023. Senuran Muthusamy has so far represented South Africa in a total of 3 Test matches. Muthusamy made his debut against Team India in 2019. The last match was played against Windies in 2023. Muthusamy has scored 105 runs with 2 wickets in 3 matches. Also, Muthusamy has scored around 5 thousand runs and 247 wickets in first-class cricket at an average of 30.41.
The South African selection committee has selected 4 fast bowlers for this series. These four include Kagiso Rabada, Andre Berger, Dane Pettersson, and William Mulder. While Lungi Ngidi and Miguel Pretorius both did not get a chance. The first match between the two teams is scheduled to be held in Dhaka from October 21 to 25. The second match will be held in Chattogram from November 2 to 6. Before this tour, there was severe chaos in Bangladesh. So there was uncertainty about this tour. But the South African security team gave the green light for the tour after proper inquiry
