South Africa Women’s Team: The South Africa team Announced Squad for the T20 and ODI series against England. The key player in the South African team missed the tour and the new young player got the opportunity in the squad. Let’s look at who is in and who is out of the squad against England.
Key Players Rested for T20Is
Marizan Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka will be rested for the home T20I series against England. They have recalled medium-pacer Elise-Marie Marks, who was joint-leading wicket-taker in the CSA Women’s Pro20 series, and all-rounder Nondumiso Shangase. Cap and Khaka will return for the next three-match ODI series.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Mieke de Ridder and Seshnie Naidu will miss South Africa’s T20 squad. Faye Tunnicliffe will replace De Ridder. Naidu is focusing on her final school exams before preparing for the Under-19 T20 World Cup in Malaysia in January.
Stars Returning from WBBL and Young Talent in Focus
Captain Laura Wollward and all-rounders Nadine de Klerk and Chloe Tryon, will return from the WBBL Tournament in time for the first match on November 24. Bowlers Ayanda Halubi and Tumi Sekhukhune were also in the squad. She did not play a single game in the T20 World Cup.
Interim coach Dylan du Preez will continue to manage the team for now. Will be hoping to build on their performance in the T20 World Cup, where they reached the final for the second time in a row.
