Sri Lanka beat the Netherlands by 83 runs in the 38th match of the T-20 World Cup. The Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 201 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs and set the Netherlands a target of 202 runs. In reply, the Netherlands were bowled out for 118 runs in 16.4 overs.

Sri Lanka became the second team to score 200 runs in this World Cup. Earlier in the 17th match, Australia scored 201 runs against England. Apart from these two teams, no other team has been able to reach the 200-run mark in this World Cup.
