Quinton de Kock’s Shock Retirement Rocks South African Cricket

Bad news struck South Africa just before the World Cup when this 30-year-old star wicketkeeper-batsman surprised everyone with his decision to retire.

South Africa’s star batsman and wicketkeeper, Quinton de Kock, surprised everyone by announcing his retirement from ODI cricket after the ODI World Cup in 2023. On Tuesday, September 5, the South African Cricket Board announced its team for the World Cup. While the team for the World Cup was being announced, there was also news of Quinton de Kock’s retirement. Confirming the news, Enoch Nkwe said, “We would like to thank him for his service to South African cricket.”
