Team India Begins Sri Lanka Tour with Victory
Under the guidance of Gautam Gambhir and the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, Team India started their Sri Lanka tour with a win. Team India won the first T20 match of the series by 43 runs. India set a target of 214 runs for Sri Lanka. Despite a strong start by Sri Lanka’s opening pair, who made a century partnership, Team India managed to pull back and restrict Sri Lanka to 170 runs in 19.2 overs. With this win, India took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Team India’s Batting Performance
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first. Team India scored 213 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav top-scored with 58 runs. Rishabh Pant contributed 49 runs, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill scored 40 and 34 runs, respectively. Hardik Pandya added 9 runs, and Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh remained not out with 10 and 1 run, respectively.
