Ranji Trophy Quarter-Finals: With international cricketers being allowed to play domestic cricket, domestic leagues like the Ranji Trophy have seen a surge in viewership. The domestic competition will now go into the quarter-finals starting from February 8 and will feature some big international superstars.
International Stars Boost Ranji Trophy Viewership
Defending champions Mumbai will see some big star players in the quarter-finals, where they will face Haryana in Rohtak. Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey, who are busy with national duty for the England series, will return to domestic cricket after the fifth and final T20I and will play for Mumbai in the crucial quarter-final match.
A well-placed source in the Mumbai Cricket Association confirmed the availability of the duo. The Indian Express reported that the selection committee will soon pick the squad for the upcoming match, the source said.

Official Confirmation of Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube’s Availability
Yadav and Dubey have informed us that they are available for the Ranji Trophy Quarter-Finals. The selection committee will meet soon and pick the squad for it,” the source said.
Suryakumar Yadav is undoubtedly one of the best T20 batsmen in Indian cricket and is also the current T20 captain. However, Dube was the man of the match in the fourth T20I against England in Pune, but Yadav’s series so far has been a disappointment that he would like to forget and some runs at home could help restore his confidence.
The 34-year-old could only manage 28 runs in the five matches against England and his average was just 5.60. This is a rare T20I series where Yadav has not scored a single 30+ run and he has also scored a duck twice in the first and fourth T20Is of the series. His performance was the lowest by an Indian captain in a T20I series.
