Suryakumar Yadav was injured in the ODI match against South Africa. He has a grade 2 injury and will be sidelined for 7 weeks. After returning to India, his knee was scanned and the severity of his injury was revealed.

Suryakumar Yadav will now be away from cricket for seven weeks and will be fit and fine in the first week of February. Therefore, he will miss the T20 series against Afghanistan from January 11.

He was injured in the third T20 match against South Africa. So he sat out of the field for some time. Also, vice-captain Ravindra Jadeja had to take responsibility.
