T-20 Delhi Premier League (DPL) Set to Begin in Delhi
The T-20 Delhi Premier League (DPL) will soon kick off in Delhi, modeled after the IPL. Scheduled from August 17 to September 8, the matches will take place at Arun Jaitley Stadium. The inaugural season features a total of 40 matches, including 33 for men and 7 for women.
DPL organizers have named Virender Sehwag as the brand ambassador. Cricket stars such as Rishabh Pant, Ishant Sharma, Navdeep Saini, and Nitish Rana will participate in the league. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) is hosting the event. On Tuesday, they released the schedule, with the first match set between Old Delhi-6 and South Delhi Superstars. The finals for both men’s and women’s categories will occur on September 8.
The toss for afternoon matches will take place at 1:30 pm, while the evening matches will have their toss at 6:30 pm.
