Earlier, members of the teams that failed to qualify for the IPL playoffs were scheduled to leave for the US on May 21, but now the plan has changed. Now the players will leave on May 25. The second qualifier match in the league will be held on May 24.

7 players along with captain Rohit Sharma will leave for America on 25th May. A BCCI source said, ‘Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, Akshar Patel and the support staff will leave on May 25.

Focus on Performance Over Celebration:

The players who will play in the IPL final will leave for America on May 27. Therefore, the Indian players included in the World Cup squad will not even get a chance to celebrate winning the IPL trophy. This will give the team enough time to reduce jet lag and at least 3-4 net sessions before the Bangladesh warm-up match. India are scheduled to play their first match against Ireland on June 5 and Pakistan on June 9.
