T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 Scenario: Four Teams Secure Spots
Four teams have been decided for Super 8 in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 in America and West Indies. Now a tough fight will be seen for the remaining 4 teams. Teams that have qualified for Super 8 so far are India Australia South Africa West Indies
As per the seeding decided by ICC, Australia and India have been placed in Group 1 and these teams will face each other on June 24. South Africa and West Indies have been placed in Group 2.

Group A: India Leads, USA on the Brink
From Group A, India has secured its place in the Super 8 and now leads the host USA by 4 points for the second spot. Pakistan (2) and Canada (2) also have a chance. But, the last league match of both these teams is rained out. There is also a possibility of rain in the USA match and if this match is canceled, the USA will qualify for the Super 8 from Group A with 5 points in T20 World Cup 2024
Group B: Australia’s Dominance and Scotland’s Edge
Australia has entered Super 8 from Group B. Scotland currently leads with 5 points. Defending champions England have a chance and will also walk away with 5 points after winning their remaining two matches. But, at the same time, they need Scotland to beat Australia and then all the calculations will depend on the net run rate.
Group C: West Indies and Afghanistan’s Chances
Hosts West Indies have progressed from Group C and Afghanistan is poised to finish second with 4 points from 2 matches. One win is enough for them. But, New Zealand and Uganda have not given up yet. They can score 4 points each by winning the remaining matches. But, for that, Kiwis and Uganda will have to pray for Afghanistan to lose in both matches.
Group D: South Africa Advances, Bangladesh vs. Netherlands Showdown
South Africa has entered the Super 8 from Group D. This group has a tough fight between Bangladesh and the Netherlands. Both teams are in the race with 2 points each from two matches. Today is the Bangladesh vs Netherlands match and the winner will define the picture.
