Team India’s Departure for ICC T20 World Cup
The first team of Team India left on May 25 for the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies. Many players and support staff including the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid took part in this. The rest of the players will leave after the final match of IPL 2024.
However, in the first batch, Virat Kohli also had to go to America with the head coach. But he could not go. Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli could not find a place in the first batch of players to leave for America. This is due to a delay in some important documents.
Players like Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja arrived in Mumbai and coach Rahul Dravid and the rest of the team left for America, but Kohli was not seen with the team. Now there is news that Virat will go to America after completing the paperwork on May 30.
Delays and Absentees
Apart from Kohli, team vice-captain Hardik Pandya also did not go with the first batch. Hardik is currently in London and will join the team directly from there. The Indian team will begin their campaign with a match against Ireland on June 5, followed by a match against Pakistan in New York 5 days later.

Indian fans are very happy to see Kohli’s form. In IPL 2024, Virat showed a brilliant batting performance. He has also qualified for the Orange Cap this season. He scored 741 runs in 15 matches batting at a strike rate of over 153. This was the second-best performance of his IPL career. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya will depart late from the scheduled time. Samson told the board that the delay in going to New York was due to ‘private work in Dubai’.
