Team India Hit by Major Setback: BCCI Announces Absence of Two Key Bowlers for SA Series

SA vs IND – Team India is on a tour of South Africa and the T20 series is over. The three-match series is tied at 1-1. After that, the ODI series will start from December 17.

Before the start of this series, Team India has got a big shock. One or two bowlers of Team India are out. BCCI has made an official announcement about this.

The dismissal of the ace bowler before the start of the series is considered a big blow for the team.

Who are those two bowlers?

Ahead of the Test series against South Africa, Mohammad Shami, the team’s leading ace, has been dropped. When the Test squad was announced, it was said that Shami’s participation depends on his fitness.

BCCI has not given any information about Shami’s fitness. The BCCI has not announced the name of any player who has been selected as a replacement for Shami.

Deepak Chahar has withdrawn his name in the One series starting from Sunday. It is said that he withdrew his name due to a private reason in the family.

Akash Deep has been included in the team in place of Deepak Chahar. Along with that, BCCA has said that Shreyas Iyer will not play in the last two ODIs. Shreyas will join the Test team after the first Test.

The India squad for two Tests comprises Rohit Sharma as the captain (C), alongside players such as Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan as the wicketkeeper (WK), KL Rahul also as a wicketkeeper (WK), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Mohd. Shami*, Jasprit Bumrah as the vice-captain (VC), and Prasidh Krishna.

The India squad for three ODIs includes Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sai Sudarshan, Tilak Verma, Rajat Patidar, Rinku Singh, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul as the captain and wicketkeeper (C&W), Sanju Samson as the wicketkeeper (WK), Akshar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, and Deepak Chahar.
