Team India Meets Australian PM Anthony Albanese ahead of the fifth and final Test in Sydney. The fifth match of the Test series will be played in Sydney from Friday, January 3. Albanese shared several pictures with the Indian and Australian players during this special meeting.
Team India Meets Australian PM in Albanese
This was the second meeting between the Indian team and Australian Prime Minister Albanese, earlier they met during the 50-over warm-up match against PM XI in Canberra ahead of the Pink Ball Test. Albanese also shared separate pictures with Virat Kohli and Glenn McGrath.
In one picture, Albanese was seen showing something from his phone to Virat Kohli and both were laughing at it. Australian captain Pat Cummins can be seen addressing the people, while Australia’s legendary fast bowler Glenn McGrath can be seen presenting the Pink Cap to the Australian PM on behalf of the McGrath Foundation.
“The Australian and Indian teams have already given us an incredible summer of cricket. When the fifth Test starts on Friday, the SCG will be filled with pink in support of the great work of the McGrath Foundation. Go Australia!”

Sydney Test Supports Breast Cancer Awareness
Fans are seen wearing pink jerseys to raise awareness about breast cancer in Australia and millions of dollars are raised for patients suffering from this disease. The entire Australian team is also seen wearing a special pink jersey and cap of the same colour, while opposition teams wear pink ribbons on their jerseys to show their support for the cause.
Meanwhile, Australia are leading the current series 2-1 with one more match to go. The Pat Cummins-led side defeated India by 184 runs in the fourth Test in Melbourne to take the lead in the five-match series.
Hence, there is immense pressure on Rohit Sharma and his men to make a comeback in the series as a defeat or a draw in Sydney would mean India having to relinquish their hold on the Border Gavaskar Trophy, which they have been winning since 2017.
