In a recent twist of events, India’s senior men’s cricket squad for the 19th Asian Games 2023 has seen some last-minute changes. Shivam Mavi, who was initially part of the squad, will not be able to participate due to a troublesome back injury. As a replacement, the talented Akash Deep has been called in to bolster the team’s pace attack.
This adjustment comes as a result of the meticulous decision-making by the Men’s Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The committee had to act swiftly to ensure the team’s readiness for the Asian Games, considering the importance of the continental event.
