The T20 World Cup 2024 winning Indian team will arrive in Delhi on Thursday morning aboard an Air India chartered flight. Departing from Barbados, the team expects to land at 6 am. The Delhi Police have implemented stringent security measures at the airport and Hotel Maurya, where the team will rest before heading to Mumbai. Police and paramilitary forces will be stationed at every corner to ensure the players’ safety.

Detailed Security Arrangements

Delhi Police have meticulously planned the transport of Team India from IGI Airport to Hotel Maurya. Armed police personnel will accompany the team, along with an escort vehicle. Paramilitary forces will monitor the route and surroundings of the hotel to manage the anticipated large crowd of fans eager to meet the team. Two companies of paramilitary forces heavily guard the area around Hotel Maurya, ensuring the team’s security.

Schedule and Victory Parade

After resting at Hotel Maurya, Team India will visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence at 11 am on Thursday for breakfast. Following the meeting, the team will depart for Mumbai at 4 pm. Captain Rohit Sharma and BCCI secretary Jay have invited fans to Marine Drive in Mumbai on July 4 at 5 pm for a victory parade celebrating the team’s World Cup triumph.

Delayed Return Due to Barbados Storm

The Indian cricket team’s return was delayed by a sudden storm in Barbados, which led to a curfew and left the team stranded for three days.
