Team India Practice Matches: The Indian team will play a practice match before the Champions Trophy starting next month. The Champions Trophy will begin on February 19 and the Indian team will start its campaign against Bangladesh on February 20.
If sources are to be believed, India can play a practice match against Bangladesh or United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, the date of the practice match is not yet decided.
India Prepares for Champions Trophy with Practice Match
An ICC official said that the Indian team will play all its matches in Dubai, so talks are going on about a practice match for the Indian team to adapt to the conditions there. Since, except for India and Bangladesh, all other teams will be present in Pakistan, there is a high possibility that a practice match will be held between India and Bangladesh.
Indian Team’s Champions Trophy Schedule
- February 20: India vs Bangladesh
- February 23: India vs Pakistan
- March 2: India vs New Zealand
Both India and Bangladesh teams will start their campaign against each other. If consensus is not reached this time, then there is a possibility of a practice match against UAE.
However, UAE is not a part of the Champions Trophy but being a home team, it will be available there. At present, its date is being considered.

ODI Series Against England
Actually, before the Champions Trophy, India has to play a three-match ODI series against England which will end on February 12. After this, the team will have seven days and a practice match can be held a day or two before the first match.
