BCCI has announced the Team India squad for the upcoming West Indies tour. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma’s team India will play two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20 Internationals against the west indies team.
The Indian team will begin their campaign on the West Indias tour with a two-match Test series. The first Test match between Team India and West Indies will be played on July 12. After this, the second Test match will start on July 20. After the Test, both teams will clash in the 50-over format. The first match of the ODI series will be played on July 27. After this, the second match will be played on the 29th and the third match on the 1st of August.
The Indian team will play T20 match against West Indies after Test and ODI. Five T20 international matches will be played between the two teams. The first match of the T20 series will be played on August 3. Meanwhile, the second match of the series will be played on August 6, and the third match on August 8. The fourth T20 match of the series will be played on August 12 and the last match will be played on August 13.
In the final match of the World Test Championship, the Indian team suffered a heavy defeat against Australia. Both Indian batsmen and bowlers flopped in the title race. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, And batsmen like Pujara were disappointed a lot, while the pace and swing of Mohammad Shami and Mohammad Siraj in bowling did not work for Team India. The Indian team reached the finals of the WTC and lost for the second time. Earlier in 2021, the New Zealand team broke India’s dream. India will play a series against West Indies for the first time after the WTC final.
