Criticism from Former Players
Shahid Afridi said that BCCI will once again cite security reasons for not touring Pakistan. We have been to India many times. Stepped on Indian soil without fear even in difficult situations. Even though we are getting threats, we continue to tour India. But, this now reveals the BCCI’s intentions. We have supported India. We kept receiving threats, but the Pakistan Cricket Board and the government asked us to go there. If the Indian Cricket Board wants to send their team to Pakistan, they will. Otherwise, if they don’t come here, they will give the excuse of security. Afridi was talking to the media in Pakistan

BCCI and PCB Tensions
BCCI and PCB seem to be fighting once again over the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan. According to the ICC schedule, the Champions Trophy 2025 will be held on the soil of Pakistan. But, it is learned that BCCI will not send its team to Pakistan. Therefore, the officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board met the officials of the ICC. India has always avoided going to Pakistan for security reasons. The last time these two countries had a bilateral series was in 2012-13. Since then, only the Asia Cup and ICC tournaments have seen these bitter rivals clash. Pakistan won the Champions Trophy title in 2017 by defeating India.
