Captain Suryakumar Yadav trusted him in the T20 series against South Africa. It also allowed him to play at number three. Tilak Verma seized this opportunity. So Tilak can bat in the top order while playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL.
Mumbai Indians did not bid for Ishan Kishan. Therefore, Tilak Verma can open as a left-handed batsman along with Rohit Sharma. A lefty would be a good option for righty combinations. The latter part is where the batting takes place. But the franchise and fans will surely be happy to see his form.
