Virat Kohli’s Record-Breaking Century: Fastest to 13,000 Runs in One-Day Cricket

In the Asia Cup 2023 Super-4 match against Pakistan, Indian batsman Virat Kohli played an aggressive innings and achieved a new milestone by scoring 13,000 runs at the fastest pace in One-Day International cricket.

Indian batsman Virat Kohli set a new record. He became the fastest player to score 13,000 runs in One-Day International cricket history. This was Virat Kohli’s 47th century in his One-Day career. 

Virat Kohli has broken the record previously held by the “Little Master” Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar took 321 matches to reach this milestone. Now, Virat Kohli has achieved this record in 267 matches, making him the holder of the world record for the fastest 13,000 runs in One-Day cricket. Among players who have scored 13,000 runs in One-Day cricket, Virat Kohli now ranks fifth, following Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sangakkara, and Sanath Jayasuriya.

Virat Kohli Fastest to 47 ODI Centuries:

Virat Kohli played a 122-run innings off 94 balls. With this, Virat Kohli has achieved the distinction of being the fastest player to score 47 centuries in the One-Day format. Kohli achieved this record in 267 matches. Previously, Sachin Tendulkar had taken 435 matches to achieve this record.

Third Position in Scoring 50+ Runs in ODIs:

In the history of ODI cricket, Virat Kohli has now equaled Ricky Ponting in terms of scoring 50 or more runs. Sachin Tendulkar holds the first position with 145 fifty-plus scores, while Kumar Sangakkara is in the second position with 118 fifty-plus scores.
