According to a Hindustan Times report, Virender Sehwag and his wife Aarti Ahlawat are reportedly separating after 20 years of marriage. Sources close to the family say that both have been living separately for several months and divorce is likely.
Sehwag and Aarti have two sons – Aryavir, and Vedant. Aryavir was born in 2007, while Vedant was born in 2010. The report claims that recent developments indicate a growing distance between the two.
According to the report, fans noticed that Sehwag shared pictures with his sons and his mother on social media on Diwali, but did not share any mention or pictures of Aarti. This further fuelled rumours of their separation.

Social Media Hints at Growing Distance Between the Couple
Sehwag visited Vishwa Nagayakshi temple in Palakkad two weeks ago and shared pictures of the visit on his Instagram account. However, there was no mention of Aarti in the post. Fans linked this to the growing tension in their relationship. However, no official statement has been issued by Sehwag or his wife on this matter.
Aarti Ahlawat is a resident of New Delhi and has kept a distance from the limelight. Aarti has a diploma in Computer Science from Delhi University.
Shewag’s Love Story and Career Highlights
Aarti and Sehwag’s love story started in the early 2000s. The couple got married in 2004 at the residence of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. According to the report, their relationship was sour for some time, due to which they decided to separate.
Virender retired from international cricket in 2015. Sehwag has played 104 Tests for India during his career in which he has scored 8586 runs. Apart from this, he has scored 8273 runs in 251 ODIs and 394 runs in 19 T20 Internationals.
Sehwag is the first cricketer to score a triple century in Test cricket for India. He was an important part of the team that won the 2011 ODI World Cup.
