Nepal’s Valiant Chase Falls Short

Batting first after losing the toss, South Africa scored 115 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs. Apart from opener Reza Hendricks (43), no African batsman could make a big knock. Tristan Stubbs scored 27 not out to give Nepal a target of 116 runs. Nepal made a good start in chasing this challenge. But, lack of experience once again affected Nepal and Africa ran away. Nepal needed 2 runs off the last ball to win. But the last ball went unbeaten. Wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock made a good throw at the other end to help run out the Nepalese batsman and avoid a super over. Apart from this, Africa won by a landslide.
