What Jasprit Bumrah Said About Rohit Sharma’s Absence in Sydney Test

Bumrah said about Rohit Sharma: The fifth and final match of the five-match Test series between India and Australia has started today at the Sydney Cricket Ground. In this match, India’s captain Jasprit Bumrah won the toss and decided to bat.

While Australia has come with one change in this match, India has made two changes in its playing XI.

Rohit Sharma’s Rest Decision: Bumrah Talks Team Unity

In this match, Jasprit Bumrah, not Rohit Sharma, came out for the toss from India. Bumrah has also led Team India in the first match of the series, where India won.

But after Rohit Sharma’s return to the team, he is leading the team for the first time. In such a situation, now the question arises whether Rohit Sharma has been dropped due to his poor form or has the captain himself decided to opt out of this match.

Bumrah answered this question during the toss. Regarding Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah said during the toss, “Our captain has shown leadership by choosing to rest in this match. This shows that there is a lot of unity in this team. There is no selfishness. Whatever is in the team’s interest, we will try to do that.”

Changes in the Playing XI

Talking about the Sydney pitch and the Indian playing XI, Bumrah said, “It looks like there is a bit of grass on the ground. It doesn’t look like there are too many problems or is too spicy. There will be a challenge with the new ball, but it is always a good batting pitch if you get going. Two changes, Rohit has opted to rest and Akash Deep is injured, so Prasidh has been included.”
