Arshdeep Singh Injured, Doubtful for 4th Test. Anshul Kamboj joins Squads
Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh got injured while practising in the nets on Thursday. During practice, Sai Sudharsan hit a straight shot, and Arshdeep tried to stop the ball with his hand. Unfortunately, the ball hit his bowling hand and caused a deep cut.
The injury was serious enough that stitches were needed. According to a BCCI source, Arshdeep may need 10 days to fully recover. Since the match is very soon, it’s unlikely he will be fit in time.
Indian team’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said, “It’s just a cut, but we’ll have to see how serious it is. The medical team is checking everything.”
Rishabh Pant Also Got Injured, but is available for the 4th Test
India’s vice-captain Rishabh Pant also got hurt while trying to catch a fast ball from Jasprit Bumrah during the practice session at Lord’s. He injured the finger on his left hand, and now the team doctors are watching his condition closely.
The Indian team is hoping that both Pant and Arshdeep will recover soon. Meanwhile, Anshul Kamboj has a big chance to shine on the big stage!
