Who is M Gajanfar: Afghanistan’s team is on a tour of Zimbabwe. The recent three-match ODI series between the two teams has ended. The last match of the series was played on 21 December at Harare Sports Club in Harare.
Here the Afghan team managed to hit the field by eight wickets. The match’s hero was 18-year-old spinner M Gajanfar.
M Gajanfar Shines in Afghanistan’s Win Against Zimbabwe
For the team, he bowled 10 overs and took five wickets by spending just 33 runs from an economy of 3.30. For which he was also chosen as ‘Player of the Match’.
In his just 11 international matches, M Gajanfar has dominated the hearts and minds of cricket lovers. The main reason behind this is his best bowling. For the team, he has taken 21 wickets in just 11 ODI innings at the international level at an average of 13.57.
During this, he has also done the feat of taking five wickets twice. After bowling the youth spinner, everyone appreciates him and hopes that he will raise his coin on the world stage one day like the current captain of his team, Rashid Khan.

M Gajanfar: A Rising Star in International Cricket
M Gajanfar was born on 20 March 2006 in Paktiya province of Afghanistan. At present, he is 18 years and 277 days old. Ghaznafar was first included in the Afghanistan cricket team for the first ODI against Ireland on March 7, 2024.
Since then, he has attended 11 ODIs for the team. Ghaznafar is the right -handed offbreak bowler and right hand batsman.
Domestic Cricket Journey of M Gajanfar
M Gajanfar has managed to reach the Afghanistan team by performing well in domestic cricket. Talk about his domestic performance, in list ‘A’, he has taken 25 wickets in 15 innings at an average of 17.76, while in 16 innings of 16 matches of T20, he has got 29 successes at an average of 11.62 in innings.
