Gautam Gambhir’s Meeting with Amit Shah
In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has formed the government for the third time with its allies. Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has met Union Home Minister Amit Shah after the formation of the NDA government.
Gambhir congratulated Amit Shah on the success of his recent election. Gambhir shared a photo of his meeting with Amit Shah on the ‘X’ account. He captioned it, “Under the leadership of Hon’ble Union Home Minister, India will be better in terms of security and stability will increase in the country”.

Gautam Gambhir’s Political Journey and Transition
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Gautam Gambhir contested from East Delhi as a BJP candidate. Gambhir defeated Aam Aadmi Party’s Atishi Marlena, who was in the second position at the time, by 6,95,109 votes. After completing his 5-year tenure, Gambhir announced on 2 March 2024, that he was quitting politics and would focus only on cricket projects in the future.

Gautam Gambhir is currently in the limelight due to the news of becoming the head coach of the Indian team. Rahul Dravid’s tenure as head coach ends immediately after the T20 World Cup on June 30. According to some recent reports, Gautam Gambhir will be the head coach of Team India after Dravid. However, he had put some demands before the BCCI, which the board accepted.
Amit Shah’s Continued Leadership as Home Minister
Amit Shah served as the National President of the BJP till the first term of the NDA government (2014-2019). But when his government came to power for the second time, i.e. in 2019, he was inducted into the Modi cabinet and given the post of home minister of the country.
Now in Modi 3.0, he has been given the charge of the Home Ministry for the second time. Shah contested the Gandhinagar election in 2024, in which he secured a total of 10,10,972 votes and defeated Sonal Patel of the Congress by a huge margin of 7,44,716 votes.
