Sophie Devineβs Big Decision Ahed of T20 World Cup
It is a great honor to have the opportunity to lead the team in both formats. But, now I want to reduce my workload a bit. With captaincy comes additional responsibility and I enjoy it. But sometimes it becomes very challenging. Relinquishing the captaincy of the T20 team will reduce my workload a bit. So that I can focus more on my game. Apart from this, I want to help other captains from now on for the future, said Sophie Devine.
Also, I have not given up the captaincy of ODI cricket yet. But I will not stay in this position forever. So stepping away from captaincy in one format at a time helps future captains learn and experience everything, Sophie added. Sophie Devine, 34, is currently recovering from a leg injury. Now she can make a comeback in the three-match T20 series against Australia.
