Will Two Wicketkeepers Play?
In the practice camp, Gautam Gambhir was seen working closely with wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson. This has led to speculation that both Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant might feature in the playing eleven. While Pant played all matches in the T20 World Cup, Samson has often been overlooked. However, Gambhir’s focused discussions with Samson suggest that the team might opt for two wicketkeepers in the lineup. Sanju Samson has a decent T20 record, with 444 runs in 28 matches at a strike rate of 133.33, including two fifties.
