World Cup 2024 Expands: 18 Teams Confirmed with Inclusion of Two New Entrants

16 teams qualified for the World Cup. But 2 teams have booked their ticket from the Africa Qualifier tournament. Uganda and Zimbabwe have now qualified for the upcoming World Cup from Africa Qualifiers.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be organized between September and October. A total of 18 teams will compete for a trophy in this tournament. Bangladesh is hosting the Women’s T20 World Cup.

Being the host, Bangladesh has qualified directly. Also, in the last T20 World Cup, the top 6 teams in the points table have got a direct ticket for this tournament.

These six teams include Australia, South Africa, England, Team India, New Zealand and West Indies. Pakistan also qualified directly. So in this way 8 teams were already fixed.

On the other hand, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE and Vanuatu also qualified. So the last 2 seats were vacant. The qualifiers Uganda and Zimbabwe qualified for these 2 seats. Both these teams were in the top 2 in the points table from their groups.
